The saying ‘Wenger Out' has echo'd through football for many years now, and the phrase is now stronger than ever. Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has received plenty of negative criticism from all areas in the sport, from fans to players and journalists around the globe. The clubs results and recent form has caused an outrage in North London in recent weeks, and everywhere else in the world apparently!
The Gunners League Cup Final hammering vs rivals Manchester City last week has topped many fans over the edge. Once again it seems to be ‘the last straw' for the longtime committed Arsenal manager. The Frenchmans earlier years with the club were filled with glory, triumph and plenty of silverware to show for it. This is not the case nowadays, it looks very unlikely that any trophies will be brought back to the Emirates Stadium this season. An atrocious FA Cup run saw Arsenal knocked out by Championship side, Nottingham Forest in a 4-2 loss away from home.
Domestic competition shows little hope for Arsenal this season nevertheless, Wenger's side are currently still in the Europa League. That is if they make it past the formidable AC Milan in the last 16. Currently placing at sixth in the Premiership, Champions league qualification looks unlikely. The best chances for The Gunners to get back into the top flight of European Football would be to win the Eufa Cup. This would then make them eligible for next seasons campaign, just as Manchester United did last year. Let's hope for Wenger's sake he can maintain the rest of the 16/17 season, if he is still around..
