Gareth Bale adds more fuel to the fire by taking another dig at Real Madrid after Wales qualified for Euro 2020!
On Wednesday Wales played Hungary in a winner takes all match for Euro 2020 qualification. Wales were favourites going into it and were looking to get to only their third international tournament ever!
Thankfully for Bale and co they didn't slip up and came away 2-0 winners. This was fantastic for everyone involved and it now meant they had qualified for back to back European Championships. They are priced as huge outsiders on PaddyPower at 50/1.
The game was played at the Cardiff City Stadium and the fans went wild at the end of the game. During the match, they could be heard singing “Wales, Golf, Madrid”, a song aimed at the order of Bales priorities. Bale was asked about this in an interview before the game and he said he found it funny. This didn't go down well with the Spanish media who were hoping he'd talk it down.
To make matters worse Bale could be seen at full time holding a flag with the song on. Bale, along with all his teammates seemed to be laughing at the flag, once again showing his thoughts on his club. This further angered the Spanish media. He has long been ridiculed in the press for his time at Real. It appeared as though this would be over in the summer but a move fell through.
Zidane has reportedly said he will welcome back Bale and will not take any disciplinary action. However, we're sure it'll once again result in the Welshmans playing time being reduced.
Where will Bale go from here then? Well if Paddy Power is anything to go by he could be on his way back to Spurs! Now Mourinho has taken over at the club, Bale is 2/1 to go sign for them before February. Mourinho tried to sign Bale when he was at Man United but nothing ever materialised. Now Bale has blatantly expressed his feelings on Madrid, could he be out at the next possible opportunity?
🤷♂️ In that order.
