On Sunday evening, Valencia host Getafe at the Mestalla, in a game that could prove vital in the battle for the European places in La Liga.
A recent return to form for Valencia has seen Los Ches move up to seventh place in the table, just a point outside the European spots. Marcelino’s team are also just six points behind the fourth-place visitors.

Valencia have been difficult to beat of late at the Mestalla in La Liga. Los Ches have lost just once in 16 home outings, although nine of those unbeaten matches have resulted in draws. Their recent home games in La Liga have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five league games on home soil.
Getafe have been one of the surprise-packages in La Liga this season. The visitors are currently four points clear of fifth-place Alaves.
The visitors head into this game on the back of a six-game unbeaten run in La Liga. A 2-1 win over Huesca last time out in the Spanish top-flight means that Jose Bordalas’ team have won their last three league matches. Getafe have also been prolific of late in the Spanish top-flight, scoring at least two goals in their last five matches.
Getafe have lost just one of their last 14 away games in La Liga. However, nine of those 14 matches have finished all square.
Valencia look set to be without Facundo Roncaglia and centre-back Ezequiel Garay due to injury.
Getafe are without Bruno Gonzalez due to suspension, while Market Bergara, David Soria and Amath Ndiaye look set to miss out through injury.
