The summer transfer window is always busy with some of the worlds biggest players moving clubs. Here we're going to round up all the latest transfers and rumours from around the world!
Players go for ridiculous amounts of money in the current market. In 2017 PSG broke the transfer record when they signed Neymar from Barcelona for £198 million! Since then the value of every player has gone up and clubs are demanding bigger fees.
The transfer market is an exciting time for any football fan. It's a time when your club can sign that next big player who is going to take your side to the next step. We're going to look at those who have moved and the players who are rumoured to move.
Herrera – The Spanish midfielder couldn't come to an agreement over a new contract with Man United and be told he would be a free agent this summer. PSG was rumoured for a while to be the club who would sign Herrea and yesterday this was confirmed. He has signed a five-year deal at the club and will wear the number 21 shirt again. It is being reported that will earn £300,000 a week! Herrera will be missed by Man United fans. He was a fan favourite and a good player for the club.
Ndombele – Spurs broke their transfer record this week with the signing of the French midfielder. He cost Spurs £55 million with a potential £9 million more in add ons. This is a big signing for the club especially after losing the Champions League final. It shows that this wasn't just a one-off aim of theirs and they are pushing to be one of the biggest clubs. The 22-year-old has signed a six-year deal at the club.
Lampard -Not a player but a manager. Chelsea has now appointed club legend Frank Lampard as their permanent manager. This comes after Sarri left at the end of this season to join Juventus. This is a bold statement by Chelsea, who aren't able to sign any players till next summer. This means they are trusting in Lampard to bring through youth players and make best with what he's got. It going to be very interesting to see how he get on in the Premier Leauge.
Felix – One of the most sought after players this summer was Joao Felix. The Portuguese forward had a very impressive start at Benfica and many clubs wanted him. Atletico Madrid secured the services of the 19-year old for £113 million! This made him the fifth most expensive player ever. He will wear the number seven shirt at Atletic0 and has signed a seven-year deal.
Maguire – This one is still ongoing with it looking like he will end up in Manchester but which colour? It has been reported that United took the lead in the race to sign him offering £70 million. This was soon rejected by Leicester, who don't need to sell him. City is thought to have now offered the same as well. Leicester reportedly wants around £90 million for him, making him the most expensive defender in history. He will improve the defence at both clubs but £90 million may be more than what he's worth.
Rodri – Man City have now though completed their first big signing of the summer. Rodri has joined them from Atletico Madrid after just one season for around £62 million. He is a holding midfielder, apparently similar to Sergio Busquets. City needs a holding midfielder with Fernandinho getting on now.
Lukaku – It appears as if Man United may need to get a new striker this summer with the Belgian wanting out. He has never hidden his admiration for the Serie A and due to lack of playing time under Solskjaer, he wants to leave. Inter are the most likely side to get him but they can't afford the £75 million in one go. United are willing to sell him but only if they get the money in one payment.
