Tottenham v Liverpool
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
In Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League, Tottenham and Liverpool face off at Wembley in what could be an explosive encounter.
Tottenham started their league campaign off in a positive manner by winning their opening three games, only to suffer a 2-1 defeat last time out in the English top-flight.
The defeat for Spurs ended a five-game winning run in the Premier League for the team from north London. The clash at Vicarage Road was also in keeping with Spurs recent games in that it was high scoring, as their last five league games have now produced over 2.5 goals.
Spurs have been formidable opponents at Wembley in recent months, winning eight of their last nine home games in the Premier League, including their last four league outings.
Liverpool arrived in the capital on the back of winning all four of their Premier League games so far this season. The Reds good form sees them top the table ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Watford, who have also won all four league games this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side has looked far more solid in defence this season. In fact, the Merseysiders have kept clean sheets in four of their last five league outings.
The visitors have won both of their away games this season in the Premier League. The Reds have also scored twice in both of those away games, which means they have now scored at least two goals in three of their last four matches on their travels in the top-flight.
Tottenham have no definite absentees through injuries. However, Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli, Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela are all fitness doubts. Liverpool are without midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain due to injury, while Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana are also fitness doubts.
