Tottenham v Everton
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday evening, Tottenham host Everton at Wembley in the Premier League, as the home side look to cut the gap on the top-four.
Tottenham head into this game fifth in the Premier League table, three points behind fourth-place Liverpool in the race for the Champions League spots.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team have been in decent form of late, unbeaten in four Premier League games, having recorded three wins. A 1-1 home draw with West Ham last time out ended a three-game winning run in the top-flight.
The men from north London have been prolific in recent Premier League games, scoring two or more goals in five of their last seven top-flight outings.
Tottenham have a decent record at Wembley in the top-flight, as they are ten games unbeaten in the top-flight on home soil.
Everton arrive in the capital in poor form. The Toffees have failed to win any of their last five games in all competitions and have lost their last three games.
Last time out the Toffees suffered a 2-1 derby defeat at Liverpool in the FA Cup third round. Sam Allardyce’s side also lost their last Premier League game, going down 2-0 at home against Manchester United.
A major factor in Everton’s recent poor results in the Premier League has been their struggles to find the net. Allardyce’s team have scored just once in their last four league outings.
One of the major negatives for Everton in the past year has been their away form. The Toffees have won just one of their last 19 games on their travels in the top-flight.
Tottenham are without defender Toby Alderweireld due to injury, while full-back Danny Rose and midfielder Harry Winks are also fitness doubts.
Everton are still without Seamus Coleman, Leighton Baines and Ramiro Funes Mori through injury, while fellow defender Michael Keane is also a doubt. New signing Cenk Tosun is available to make his debut.
