Roma v Lazio

BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW

In one of the biggest games of the Serie A weekend, Roma and Lazio go head-to-head in the Rome derby on Saturday evening.

Roma have started the season in good form and have won nine of their 11 Serie A games this season. However, due to the good form of the teams above them, the Giallorossi are just fifth-place in the Serie A table.

The Giallorossi have won their last five games in all competitions, including their last four in the Italian top-flight. Eusebio Di Francesco’s side have been strong at the back in recent Serie A games, keeping four clean sheets in their last six outings, while conceding just three goals.

The home side’s good defensive record has also contributed to there being under 2.5 goals in five of their last six Serie A outings.

Lazio have made an even better start to their Serie A campaign than their city rivals. However, they sit just a place and a point above the visitors in the Italian top-flight table.

Simone Inzaghi’s team have won their last nine games in all competitions, six of which have been in Serie A. One of the biggest factors in Lazio’s good form has been their attacking prowess.

The Biancazzurri have now scored two or more goals in nine of their last ten games in the Italian top-flight. That record could be under major threat against a stubborn Roma defence in this one though.

Team news

Roma head into this derby clash with a number of players in the treatment room. Radja Nainggolan, Patrik Schick, Bruno Peres and Rick Karsdorp could all miss out due to injury.

Lazio meanwhile look set to be without midfielder Davide Di Gennaro and striker Felipe Caicedo through injury.

Match Prediction

This game could be a highly entertaining encounter, as both teams have tremendous attacking players. It is very difficult to split these two teams, so I am going to sit on the fence and predict this game will end all square.
