Real Madrid v Sevilla
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday afternoon, Real Madrid host Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu in the biggest game of the weekend in La Liga.
Real Madrid are still neck and neck with arch-rivals Barcelona at the top of the Spanish top-flight table, with both teams on 40 points. The head-to-head is even after El Clasico finished goalless at the Nou Camp, so Barcelona are ahead on goal difference.
Los Blancos returned to winning ways last out in La Liga, as Zinedine Zidane’s team recorded a 3-0 win at Getafe. The win ended a run of three straight draws for the team from the Spanish capital in La Liga. The victory saw Zidane’s team keep a fourth clean sheet in their last five matches in the league.
The home side is nine games unbeaten in La Liga at the Bernabeu, having recorded six victories in the process. They have also kept clean sheets in four of their last five home games in La Liga.
Sevilla are currently fourth in the Spanish top-flight and five points behind Los Blancos in the table.
Despite their respectable position in the Spanish top-flight, the Andalusians have been inconsistent of late, winning just once in their last four La Liga games. Last time out in the Spanish top-flight they drew 1-1 at home against Athletic Bilbao.
Sevilla head to the Spanish capital on the back of a five-game unbeaten run on their travels in La Liga. Their recent home games in La Liga have been tight, low-scoring affairs, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five outings.
Real Madrid could be without some big players for this clash with Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard and Marcos Asensio all looking likely to miss out through injury.
Sevilla have no reported injuries.
