RB Leipzig v Wolfsburg
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday afternoon, RB Leipzig host Wolfsburg at the Red Bull Arena, in a game that could prove pivotal in the race for the Champions League spots in the Bundesliga.
RB Leipzig are currently third in the Bundesliga table and five points clear of fifth-place Monchengladbach in the race for the Champions League spots in German top-flight.
The home side are in the midst of a ten-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga, having recorded four wins from their last five league outings. Ralf Rangnick’s team has also kept four clean sheets in their last five matches in the Bundesliga.
RB Leipzig have suffered just one home defeat in 15 league matches. However, a 5-0 victory over Hertha Berlin in their last home game ended a run of four home league games without a victory. Their recent league games have also been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five matches.
Wolfsburg are in the last European berth in the Bundesliga, seven points behind Eintracht Frankfurt in the fourth Champions League spot. A recent inconsistent run of league form has scuppered the visitors hopes of mounting a bid for the top-four.
Last time out in the Bundesliga, the Wolves recorded a 3-1 win over struggling Hannover. The match was another high scoring one for the visitors, as six of their last eight league matches have now produced over 2.5 goals.
Wolfsburg have been inconsistent of late on their travels in the German top-flight. However, they have now suffered defeat in their last two away games in the Bundesliga. Those aforementioned away games were at top two Bayern Munich and Dortmund, though.
RB Leipzig look set to head into this clash without injured pair Atinc Nukan and Dayot Upamecano.
Wolfsburg are expected to be without Koen Casteels, Ignacio Camacho and Ismail Azzaoui through injury.
