PSG v Lyon
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
In the big game of the Ligue One weekend, PSG host Lyon at the Parc des Princes, as the home side look to continue their good recent form.
PSG have been in top form of late in the French top-flight. A midweek 2-1 victory Nantes was their tenth Ligue One victory in 11 outings, and their fourth straight league win. Their good form has seen the reigning champion’s move 12 points clear of Marseille in second place.
Thomas Tuchel’s team have been lethal in front of goal, scoring at least two goals in their last 11 Ligue One outings. Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi took his goal tally for the league season up to ten against Nantes. He is now just three league goals behind Neymar and four behind leading scorer Kylian Mbappe.
As is expected, the Parisians have a strong recent home record, as they have won six of their last seven league matches on home soil, scoring at least twice in their last seven home games in Ligue One.
Lyon are currently four points outside the European places in Ligue One after a recent inconsistent run of form in the French top-flight. A goalless draw at home to Amiens last time out means that OL have now won just three of their last eight matches in Ligue One.
The visitors have also been slightly inconsistent on their travels of late in Ligue One. However, a 2-1 defeat at Nice in their last away game in the league ended a promising four-game unbeaten run on their travels.
PSG could be without Juan Bernat, Neymar and Marquinhos due to injury. Lyon have some potential big absentees themselves, with Memphis Depay, Jeff Reine Adelaide, Karl Toko Ekambi and Oumar Solet looking set to miss out.
