Napoli v Juventus
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
In the biggest game of the Italian football weekend, Serie A leaders Napoli host reigning champions Juventus at the San Paolo.
Napoli have started their campaign with a bang, winning 12 of their 14 games in Serie A. Maurizio Sarri’s team are currently top of the table but are just two points clear of second place Inter and four points clear of the visitors.
A record of 17 wins in their last 19 games also suggests that the team from Naples have tremendous momentum. The home sides form on home soil is a major part of the team’s recent good form, as they are unbeaten in 11 games, having recorded nine wins.
The home side have also been prolific on home soil in Serie A, scoring at least twice in nine of their last 11 home games in the Italian top-flight.
Juventus are currently third in the table and a victory in Naples would really improve their chances of catching the leaders.
An away win cannot be ruled out, either, as the Bianconeri have been in good form of late, winning five of their last six games in Serie A.
The visitors have been prolific in front of goal of late, scoring at least two goals in their last six games in Serie A.
Max Allegri’s side also have a decent recent away record in Serie A, winning five of their last seven games. However, they suffered a 3-2 defeat at Sampdoria in their last away game in Serie A.
Napoli will be without striker Arkadiusz Milik and full-back Faouzi Ghoulam due to injury, while Italian international centre-back Giorgio Chiellini is expected to miss out for the visitors.
