Napoli v AC Milan
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
Serie A leaders Napoli will be looking to stretch their lead at the top of the table on Saturday night as they welcome big-spending AC Milan to the San Paolo.
Napoli have started their Serie A campaign in good fashion. The men from Naples currently top the table but are currently just a point above reigning champions Juventus.
Maurizio Sarri’s team's form has been good of late, as they have won 15 of their last 17 games in Serie A. In fact, the home side are now 24 games unbeaten in the Italian top-flight.
Their good run of form was curtailed last time out in Serie A, though, as Chievo held Sarri’s team to a goalless draw. After starting the season in good goal scoring fashion, the goals have slightly dried up for the home side, as they have scored just seven times in their last five games in Serie A.
Following a summer of big spending, the expectations were high at AC Milan. However, the Rossoneri currently sit seventh in the Italian top-flight table.
The visitors recorded a 2-0 win at Sassuolo in their last Serie A outing. However, in truth, Vincenzo Montella’s side have proven inconsistent of late in the league.
A record of two wins and four defeats from their last seven league games does not suggest that the Rossoneri are set for a major resurgence this season. It does not bode well for an away win either.
The home side will be without striker Arkadiusz Milik and full-back Faouzi Ghoulam, who both have long-term injuries. For Milan, Brazilian defender Gabriel is suspended, while full-backs Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti look set to miss out through injury.
