Lyon v Nice
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday night, Lyon hosts Nice at the Groupama Stadium in Ligue One, as the home side looks to retain a Champions League spot.
Lyon are currently third place in Ligue One, two points behind second-place Monaco and just one point clear of fourth-place Marseille. Their current position would see OL take part in the Champions League qualifiers.
A surprise 3-2 defeat at Strasbourg last time out ended an eight-game winning run for Bruno Genesio’s side in the French top-flight. The home side has also been prolific of late in Ligue One, scoring two or more goals in their last eight league outings.
Genesio’s team has also kept clean sheets in five of their last seven games in the French top-flight.
OL have been in formidable form at home of late, winning their last five league games on home soil, while also keeping clean sheets in all five outings.
Nice have enjoyed an inconsistent campaign. However, the visitors recovered from a difficult start to move up to their current position of sixth-place.
Lucien Favre’s team recent results have summed up their season, as they have lost just one of their last seven league outings, but won just three times. Last time out the visitors recorded a 4-1 home win over Caen.
The visitor’s recent away form has been poor, as they have won just two of their last 12 games on their travels while failing to win any of their last three away games.
The home side head into this clash with no reported injuries so should have a full squad available for selection. Nice’s only likely absentee is veteran full-back Christophe Jallet, who looks set to miss out due to injury.
