Lazio v Roma
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Sunday night, Lazio host Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in a potentially vital Rome derby in Serie A.
Lazio are currently third-place in Serie A, on level points with the fourth-place visitors. Both are only a point clear of fifth-place Inter in the race for the Champions League spots.
The home side heads into this clash four games unbeaten in Serie A, having won their last two league games after two draws. Last time out in the league, the home side won 2-1 at Udinese.
Simone Inzaghi’s team have been relatively prolific in recent Serie A games, scoring at least two goals in three of their last four league outings.
The Biancocelesti have an inconsistent recent home record in Serie A, having won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five league outings on home soil.
Roma heads into this clash on the back of a remarkable 3-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final second leg, that saw the Giallorossi go through to the semi-finals of the competition.
The Giallorossi’s form in the Italian top-flight has been mixed of late. Last time out, Eusebio Di Francesco’s side suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Fiorentina. The defeat ended a four-game unbeaten run in Serie A, consisting of three wins and a draw.
The Giallorossi are unbeaten in seven away games in Serie A, although of course, the Stadio Olimpico is a ground they share with the home side.
The home side have no reported injuries, so they should have a fully fit squad to choose from for this big clash. Roma look set to be without winger Diego Perotti and full-back Rick Karsdorp both due to injury.
