Lazio v Juventus

On Saturday night, Lazio host reigning Italian champions Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico in one of the biggest games of Serie A in gameweek 15.

Lazio are currently third place in the table, seven points behind league leaders Inter. Simone Inzaghi’s team head into this potentially difficult clash on the back of a nine-game unbeaten run in the Italian top-flight.

In fact, the team from the Italian capital have won their last six league games. They have also scored at least two goals in all of their nine unbeaten games in Serie A.

Inzaghi’s team have been hard to beat on their own patch in Serie A of late, as they are unbeaten in eight league matches at the Stadio Olimpico. They have produced goals galore on home soil of late too, scoring at least two goals in seven of those eight unbeaten home matches.

Juventus head into this game desperate to get back to winning ways, as the Bianconeri are currently a point behind league leaders Inter in the table. With the Nerazzurri playing on Friday night, Maurizio Sarri’s team could start this game four points behind Inter.

The visitors are unbeaten in 14 games heading to the capital. However, a 2-2 home draw last time out against Sassuolo is the reason for their current position of second in the table.

The Bianconeri are unbeaten in seven away games in the Italian top-flight, having recorded five wins, including at the likes of Inter and Atalanta.

Lazio are without the suspended Djavan Anderson, while Valon Berisha, Patric, Adam Marusic and Jordan Lukaku look set to miss out due to injuries.

Juventus look set to be without Adrien Rabiot, Marko Pjaca, Douglas Costa and Giorgio Chiellini through injury.

Match Prediction

Lazio have been hard to beat of late, but Juventus usually just find that extra bit of quality in big games and I believe they will sneak a victory in a close game.
