Lazio v Inter
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Sunday night, Lazio and Inter go head-to-head at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A, in a game that will decide who takes the final Champions League spot.
Heading into the final game of the Serie A season, Lazio are fourth, three points clear of fifth-place Inter. A draw would be enough for the home side to claim a Champions League spot. However, due to the reverse fixture finishing goalless Inter would take fourth spot with a victory in the Italian capital.
Lazio heads into this vital clash on the back of a ten-game unbeaten run in Serie A. However, consecutive draws against Atalanta and Crotone have hindered their attempts to nail down a top-four spot.
Simone Inzaghi’s side has a decent recent record at the Stadio Olimpico, as the home side unbeaten in their last five home games in Serie A. However, they have drawn three of those five games. Their recent home games in Serie A have also been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven Serie A games at the Olimpico.
Inter’s Serie A form has been inconsistent of late. However, Luciano Spalletti’s team have suffered defeat in two of their last three league outings.
The Nerazzurri are unbeaten in their last three away games in Serie A, including winning their last two games on their travels in the league. However, the men from Milan have won just three of their last 11 league away games in the Italian top-flight.
The visitor’s recent away games in the Italian top-flight have been low scoring, with nine of their last 12 games producing under 2.5 goals.
Lazio heads into this potentially crucial game without a number of first-team players. Jordan Lukaku, Luis Alberto, Marco Parolo and Ciro Immobile could all miss out due to injury. Inter have no reported injuries.
