Lazio v Inter Milan
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Sunday night, title rivals Lazio and Inter Milan meet at the Stadio Olimpico, in what could be a pivotal game in the race for the Serie A title.
Lazio have without a doubt been the surprise package of the Serie A campaign so far. Simone Inzaghi’s team are currently third in Serie A, trailing Inter and reigning champions Juventus by just a point.
The Eagles are unbeaten in 18 matches in the Italian top-flight, having won 13 of their last 15 league games. Last time out in Serie A, the team from the Italian capital recorded a 1-0 win at Parma.
One of the home sides biggest strengths this season has been their attacking prowess, as only Atalanta have scored more goals than Inzaghi’s team in Serie A this season.
Their home form has also played a big part in their lofty position, as they are unbeaten in 13 league matches at the Olimpico, having won nine of their last 11 games on home soil.
Inter took advantage of a Juventus slip-up last time out by recording a 4-2 derby win over Milan to move level with the Bianconeri. The victory against the Rossoneri means that Antonio Conte’s team are now unbeaten in Serie A in 16 games.
The Nerazzurri also have a very good recent away record in the Italian top-flight, as they are currently unbeaten in 11 matches on their travels, having recorded nine wins in the process. Inter have scored at least two goals in nine of their last 11 away games in Serie A too.
Neither team are likely to be without too many players. However, Lazio could be without Bastos and Senad Lulic through injury, while Roberto Gagliardini may miss out through injury for Inter.
