Barcelona are currently 9 points clear at the top of La Liga and many assume it will be another title triumph for Lionel Messi and his team mates at the end of the season. They are clear favourites for their match this weekend but there are more interesting bets when you look further down the table.

Elbar v Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid win

Atletico are currently in 2nd place but remain 9 points off league leaders Barcelona so will need a win to keep their slim title odds alive. The home side will be without new signing Diego Costa who is suspended following his red card last weekend but do have top scorer Antoine Griezmann available.

Deportivo La Coruna v Valencia – Valencia win

Valencia have been having their best season for several years and are currently in 3rd, one place and five points above Real Madrid. If they’re to carry on this form, there’ll be relying on Italian striker Simone Zaza.

Alaves v Sevilla – Sevilla win

Sevilla will be hoping that a win this weekend will improve their chances of a spot in La Liga’s top 4.  With the Champions League draw giving them a difficult draw against Man United, they’re probably going to need a strong league position to gain a place in next year’s competition. Their top scorer, Wissam Ben Yedder has 15 goals and the away side will hope he leads them to an important three points.

Getafe v Malaga – Getafe win

Getafe have been inconsistent this season but will believe they are more than good enough to beat a Malaga side that has only picked up 11 points all season. The home sides main weakness is their lack of goals and this could Malaga a chance of a rare point. Getafe should have just enough to conquer their opponents.

Espanyol v Athletic Bilbao – Athletic Bilbao win

Bilbao are another team that have been inconsistent this season, their win, loss and draw record currently stands at 6,6 and 6. Something will give this weekend and they’ll feel that they will have enough to beat an Espanyol side that are currently 14th.

This five-team accumulator (Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Getafe and Athletic Bilbao) has odds of 47/1 with Paddy Power.
