Inter v Roma

On Sunday night, Inter host Roma at the Giuseppe Meazza in Serie A, as the home side attempts to rescue their dwindling title hopes.

Inter are currently third in the table, but a five-game winless run in Serie A has seen the Nerazzurri fall behind Napoli and Juventus in the title race. Luciano Spalletti’s team are now nine points behind league leaders Napoli.

Last time out, Inter drew 1-1 with Fiorentina. The game was another low scoring game involving Inter of late, as four of their last five Serie A games have produced under 2.5 goals.

A lack of goals has been one of Inter’s main problems in recent games, as they have scored just twice in their last five games in the Italian top-flight.

Inter have a decent recent home record in Serie A, losing just one of their last 11 games on home soil. However, the Nerazzurri have failed to win in their last two home games in the league.

Like the hosts, Roma’s form in Serie A has taken a turn for the worst in recent months. The Giallorossi have won just one of their last five outings in Serie A. Last time out in the Italian top-flight, the visitors suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Atalanta.

Roma’s recent games in Serie A have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five games. The Giallorossi have won 12 of their last 15 away games in Serie A, but have failed to win in their last three outings on their travels.

Team News

Inter could be without Miranda, Danilo D'Ambrosio, Assane Gnoukouri and Zinho Vanheusden through various injuries. The visitors are expected to be without Gregoire Defrel and Rick Karsdorp due to injury.

Match Prediction

Neither of these teams are in particularly good form and I expect this clash to be tight and finish all square.
