Hertha Berlin v Eintracht Frankfurt
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday evening, two of the teams hoping to finish in the Bundesliga’s European places meet in Berlin, as Hertha host Eintracht Frankfurt.
Hertha Berlin are currently seventh place in the table, one point outside the European spots and three points behind the fifth-place visitors.
An inconsistent recent run of form in the Bundesliga has hindered Hertha’s chances of climbing back into the European spots. However, a 2-0 victory over Hannover last time out in the league ended a six-game run without a league win for the home side.
Hertha’s recent games have been entertaining affairs though, with their last five league matches all producing over 2.5 goals.
The team from the German capital have been inconsistent on home soil of late in the German top-flight, failing to win any of their last three home games, while winning just three of their last eight league matches at the Olympiastadion.
Eintracht Frankfurt are once again defying critics and occupy fifth-place, which puts the visitors just one point and place behind German champions Bayern Munich in fourth spot.
Prior to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home against Wolfsburg last time out, Frankfurt had gone seven games unbeaten in the Bundesliga, having recorded six wins. The visitors will be hoping to get back to winning ways in this clash.
Their recent away record suggests they could pull off an away win, as the visitors are unbeaten in four games on their travels, having recorded three wins in the process. Frankfurt have also failed to find the net just once in their last 12 away games in the German top-flight.
Hertha have a number of likely absentees through injury for this clash, including Julius Kade, Lukas Klunter, Karim Rekik, Javairo Dilrosun, Marius Gersbeck and Niklas Stark.
The visitors have some major problems of their own with Goncalo Paciencia, David Abraham, Chico Geraldes, Patrice Kabuya, Allan, Timothy Chandler and Lucas Torro all set to miss out due to injury.
