£20 Win on Norwich with Betfair pays £45.
(Premier League, Saturday, Kick-off: 15:00)
This clash could be a defining moment in both team’s season at the bottom of the Premier League table.
The home side will start this game in 17th position in the Premier League table, but just two points clear of the relegation zone and three points clear of Saturday’s opponents. Alex Neil’s side have now halted a poor run of form and taken four points from their last two league games.
The Canaries recent form may have improved, but their home form has been poor of late, as the side from Norfolk have failed to win in their last six games at Carrow Road.
Newcastle’s form has been poor of late as well, which is why the Magpies find themselves 19th in the top-flight table. One of the main reasons for Newcastle’s struggles of late has been their poor away form.
The side from the north east have lost their last seven games on their travels in the top-flight. The Magpies have also failed to score in five of those games. One good omen for Rafa Benitez’s side is the fact that they are unbeaten in six meetings with the Canaries in all competitions, claiming four wins in the process.
Norwich are without central midfielder Alexander Tettey and winger Nathan Redmond will miss out through injury, while Ryan Bennett, Steven Whittaker and Steven Naismith are all doubts, but could still feature.
Newcastle have a goalkeeping crisis with both Tim Krul and Rob Elliot ruled out for the rest of the campaign. Karl Darlow is likely to start in goal. Full-back Paul Dummett is ruled out through injury and midfielder Jack Colback is suspended.
Neither side have been in great form of late, but the Canaries have stopped the rot and have looked the more impressive of the two sides in recent games. I can see a tight game with a home win the most likely result.
