Bayern Munich v Eintracht Frankfurt
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday afternoon, Bayern Munich hosts Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena, in a massive game at the top of the Bundesliga table.
Reigning German champions Bayern Munich only need to avoid defeat to retain the title for the seventh season in a row. The Bavarians are currently two points ahead of second place rivals Dortmund by two points and also have a vastly superior goal difference to BVB.
A goalless draw last time out at RB Leipzig delayed the champions retaining their title. However, the draw at the Red Bull Arena means that Bayern are unbeaten in 13 Bundesliga games, having recorded ten wins in the process.
Bayern are formidable opponents on home soil and have won their last ten home games in the German top-flight while scoring at least two goals in eight of their last 11 league games at the Allianz Arena.
Eintracht Frankfurt have been in and around the Champions League spots all season. However, a poor run of five games without a win in the Bundesliga has seen the visitors slip to sixth place, a point outside the top-four. Last time out in the German top-flight, Frankfurt suffered a surprise 2-0 home defeat against Mainz.
Frankfurt have been hard to beat away from home in the German top-flight of late, losing just one of their last eight matches on their travels. However, Adi Hutter’s team has also won just three of their last nine away games in the Bundesliga.
Bayern have no reported senior personnel issues. Veteran wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are both likely to make farewell appearances for the Bavarians, as both will leave the German champions this summer.
Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt look set to be without the services of Sebastian Rode, Nils Stendera and Taleb Tawatha due to injury.
