Dortmund are on a terrible run of form in the Bundesliga but are still currently fifth in the German top-flight table.
Peter Bosz’s side have failed to win in their last six games in the German top-flight, suffering four defeats in the process. BVB incredibly threw away a four-goal lead in the Ruhr derby last time out to draw 4-4 with Schalke.
The visitors have at least given their fans entertainment value in recent games, as there have been over 2.5 goals scored in their last ten Bundesliga games.
Dortmund have failed to win in their last three away games in the Bundesliga, suffering successive losses against Hannover and Stuttgart.
The home side will be without Dominik Kohr due to suspension, while Sven Bender and Vladlen Yurchenko are likely to miss out through injury.
BVB are without striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang through suspension. The visitors also have a long list of probable absentees through injury, including Alexander Isak Erik Durm, Lukasz Piszczek, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Sebastian Rode, Mario Gotze and Marco Reus.
