Barcelona v Getafe
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
Reigning La Liga champions Barcelona will face a test of their title credentials when the Catalan giants host surprise-package Getafe at the Nou Camp on Saturday afternoon.
Barcelona have not been overly convincing in recent matches. Yet, they have still won three of their last four games in La Liga to remain in touch with leaders Real Madrid. In fact, Quique Setien’s team are just three points behind their eternal rivals.
Last time out in La Liga, the Blaugrana recorded a 3-2 win at Real Betis, in a game that saw dismissals for goalscorers Nail Fekir and Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet.
Despite their relatively underwhelming performances of late in the Spanish top-flight, Barcelona have won 17 of their last 18 La Liga matches at the Nou Camp, while remaining unbeaten. Real Madrid are the only team to even take a point off the champions in that stellar run of form.
Getafe have been one of the big talking points of the Spanish season so far. The team from the capital are currently third place in the table, seven points behind the champions and three points clear of fifth-place Sevilla.
A 3-0 home win against Valencia in their last league outing means that the visitors have recorded four straight wins in La Liga. The win over Los Ches also saw Getafe keep a fourth straight clean sheet in the Spanish top-flight, and their seventh in their last nine league matches.
Barcelona are without Clement Lenglet after his red card at Betis. Samuel Umtiti is likely to come into the team in his compatriot’s absence. Forwards Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele are likely to miss the rest of the season through injury.
Getafe will be without the suspended Damien Suarez for this clash.
