BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday afternoon, Bundesliga leaders Dortmund host Hoffenheim at the Signal Iduna Park, as the home side look to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Dortmund heads into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt last time out in the Bundesliga. The draw ended a three-game winning run in the league for BVB. Despite the draw, the home side are seven points clear at the top of the table.
Dortmund’s recent record in the German top-flight is also still impressive, as they have won 13 of their last 16 league matches.
Lucien Favre’s team have a stellar recent home record in the German top-flight, winning nine of their last ten games while remaining unbeaten. A key to BVB’s recent good home form has been their attacking prowess, as they have scored at least two goals in 12 of their last 13 league games at the Signal Iduna Park.
Hoffenheim have become the draw specialists of the Bundesliga in recent weeks, as the visitors have drawn seven of their last nine league games. Last time out in the Bundesliga, they drew 1-1 at home against Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Although the visitor’s recent league games have not been high scoring, both teams have scored in eight of Hoffenheim’s last nine matches.
Julian Nagelsmann’s team are unbeaten in seven away games in the German top-flight. However, three of their last four away games have finished in draws. Both teams have also scored in their last nine Bundesliga games on their travels.
Dortmund will be without the suspended Thomas Delaney, while Dan-Axel Zagadou, Manuel Akanji and Leonardo Balerdi look set to miss out through injury.
Hoffenheim’s only likely absentee is Lukas Rupp, who is a fitness doubt.
