Arsenal v Manchester United
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
Arsenal and Manchester United go head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening, as the visitors look to keep up with leaders Manchester City.
Arsenal have hit form of late in the Premier League, recording three consecutive wins that have moved the Gunners up to fourth place. In fact, the home side could move to within a point of the second place visitors with a victory in this clash.
Last time out in the Premier League, the Gunners hammered Huddersfield Town 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium. The victory was Arsenal’s 12th consecutive Premier League victory at the Emirates.
The Gunners have also been prolific in those victories, scoring two or more goals in 11 of those victories. At the other end of the pitch, Arsene Wenger’s side have also kept nine clean sheets in that recent home winning run.
Manchester United also head into this clash on the back of three straight league victories. Last time out, Jose Mourinho’s men recorded a 4-2 win at Watford to keep pace with rivals Manchester City.
The win at Watford ended a three-game winless run away from home for the Red Devils, a run that included defeats at Huddersfield and Chelsea.
United have a poor record at their fellow top-four sides in recent years, as they have failed to win any of their last seven trips to their rival grounds. To make matters worse they have scored just one goal in the winless run.
Arsenal will be without Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla and striker Alexandre Lacazette, while Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez also look like doubts for the clash.
Defenders Phil Jones and Eric Bailly are fitness doubts, along with midfielders Michael Carrick, Nemanja Matic and Marouane Fellaini.
