AC Milan v Lazio

BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW

On Saturday night, AC Milan host Lazio at the San Siro, in a crucial match for both sides Champions League ambitions in Serie A.

Milan’s recent run of three defeats in their last four Serie A games has dented the Rossoneri’s chances of a top-four finish this season. Gennaro Gattuso’s team suffered a 2-1 defeat last time out against Juventus.

The latest defeat allowed fifth-place Atalanta draw level on points with the Rossoneri, while sixth place Roma are also just a point behind the home side in the table.

Milan have now failed to win in their last two home games in the Italian top-flight, after previously recording four wins in their previous five outings.

Lazio’s recent league form has been inconsistent. However, the visitors could move level on points with the home side if they can record a victory in this clash.

A 2-2 draw at home against Sassuolo last time out means that Simone Inzaghi’s team has lost just one of their last six league matches.

However, the visitors have been the definition of inconsistency of late in the Italian top-flight on their travels, winning two, losing three and drawing one of their last six away games.

Lazio’s recent away games in Serie A have been low scoring, tight affairs, with under 2.5 goals scored in nine of their last ten matches on their travels in the Italian top-flight.

TEAM NEWS

AC Milan look set to be without Gianluigi Donnarumma, Lucas Paqueta, Andrea Conti and Giacomo Bonaventura due to injury.

Lazio are without the suspended Milan Badelj, while Valon Berisha and Jordan Lukaku look set to miss out due to injury.

Match Prediction

The last four games between these two teams have been tight affairs, with the last four meetings finishing all square in 90 minutes. Milan are desperately hanging on to fourth spot and I believe they will record a victory in a low scoring encounter.
