AC Milan v Inter
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Sunday night, AC Milan host arch-rivals Inter at the San Siro, in what could prove to be a vital game in the race for the Champions League spots in Serie A.
AC Milan are currently third place in Serie A, just a point above Sunday nights opponents. A five-match winning run has seen the Rossoneri consolidate their spot in the Champions League spots in the Italian top-flight. Gennaro Gattuso’s side are also unbeaten in ten Serie A outings.
Last time out in the league, Milan recorded a 2-1 win at Chievo. The result means that the Rossoneri have now scored at least two goals in four of their last five outings in Serie A.
The home side also has a strong recent home record in Serie A, as they are unbeaten in five matches, winning four games in the process. A key to the Rossoneri’s recent good home form is that they have kept clean sheets in their last four league matches at the San Siro.
Inter are now just three points ahead of Roma who occupy fifth place in the table. The Nerazzurri’s recent league form has been inconsistent, as a 2-0 win over SPAL last time out means that they have won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three league outings.
Inter have struggled on their travels of late in Serie A, winning just two of their last nine away matches in the Italian top-flight.
AC Milan are expected to be without midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura due to injury.
Inter are set to be without Marco Icardi, Sime Vrsaljko, Miranda and Radja Nainggolan and Marcelo Brozovic.
